Oh right, I have this journal. I forgot (not really; I'm just lazy.)
Look! I drew something! Yay!
I drew this in church, on Easter Sunday. I am a terrible person.

But life has been boring, so i don't have anything to write. Well...except the fact that I have been reading a lot of comics and re-watching X-Men: Evolution, which is the most awesome cartoon ever.
That is all. :D

Today at work I stabbed my finger with a staple...and I helped come guy who smelled like salami find headphones. Then I unpacked a ton of freight that should have been done yesterday. Yeah, my job is awesome yo.
So I'm finally getting around to reading the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I'm barely into the first book, but it's good so far.
OH yeah, I finally got a twitter account. Check it: http://twitter.com/tomato_splatter
I thought spring was coming, but then it snowed this morning.
Yeah, nothing else interesting to report. I need to do some drawing tonight. Maybe I'll post some sketches later?

Today at work I got such a blindingly painful headache that I lost peripheral vision for a little bit. How fun is that!? (answer: not much)
I went to the Baltimore Aquarium the other day. Baltimore is my favorite city ever. It is so gorgeous and gah! I just love it. Anyway, I went to the aquarium, but just across the street was the biggest bookstore I have ever seen in my Entire. Life. It was huge. It was amazing. I finally found two of the books I've been looking for since forever. (oh and the aquarium was cool too.)
So in other news I finally (FINALLY) finished reading Watchmen (so everyone can get off my case mmk!) It definitely lived up to expectations. So now, of course, I'm extremely excited for the movie (midnight showing, yeah!)
Aaand now I'm reading Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow and the first volume of Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Fun times.
Oh yeah...I draw sometimes don't I? But everything recently has SUCKED!!! Here's some crappy drawings! YAY!

Character for a story that I'm working on that will probably never see the light of day. It involves werewolves, gambling leprechauns, a gang of vampires, and pie.
from the same story, yeah?
...I don't even know. mmk moving on.
Yeah, I know, I need a life.

I feel so trapped. Everything I ever wanted is so unattainable. I'm not at the place I wanted to be when I graduated high school. I don't have the job I wanted. I'm not even doing the things that I love to do.
I think I made a wrong step somewhere, and I have no idea how to fix it.
I'm just so tired of trying to make all the wrong things work.

I might be the most boring person ever. How did I spend New Year's Eve? Was I out partying? Hanging with friends? Watching a movie with my sister? NO. I was sitting on my couch, alone in my room, reading a book and listening to the Beatles. Then at a minute to midnight I went upstairs, turned on the tv and watched the ball drop. AND THEN I READ ANOTHER BOOK.
Every year I say I'm going to do something exciting, but every year I get more and more boring. At least I was reading a good book and not a boring one.
So, New Year's "resolution"; mine isn't much of a resolution - it's more of a possibly feasible goal. I'm going to read 100 books, about a fourth of those will be the 26 books sitting on my shelf that I have yet to read.
Well. Happy 2009 and all that. May this year be better then the last.

WHO'S EXCITED IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!? I AM!!! I'm trying to convince my dad to but up the lights on the house, but so far he hasn't. *grumps* I would do it myself, but mom won't let me use the ladder or go on the roof.
So I think it's clear, by the lack of exuberant winning post, that I did not win NaNoWriMo. I got about 12000 words in the first week, got distracted by watching Avatar: the Last Airbender the second week, and lost momentum for the third. Ah well, there's always next year. I like what I wrote though, so I think I'll polish it up and then keep writing it. We'll see what happens.
So i went the the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert in Atlantic City last week. It was awesome. and loud. but mostly awesome.
Aaaand, I was supposed to get The Tales of Beedle the Bard yesterday, but my sister got called into work. So we're going today...hopefully. I should go see if she wants to go now...
*no comic today. I'll try to get part three done tomorrow*

There's a lot of I could write...like how I got overwhelmingly frustrated with my story and ripped half the plot out. But it's okay because now that it's going in a slightly new direction I get to write two characters that I would otherwise have been able too (and they are awesome dudes so I'm happy I get to include them in more then just vague references.) Of course, I committed a big NaNoWriMo no-no and now am way behind on my word count. *sigh* but at least I'm not miserable about every word I write. Whatever. *is kinda sad*
And there's this too:

I am behind on my word count for nanowrimo. *sadness* BUUUT I'll make it up soon. I just had to rethink what I was doing, but now I'm back on track and heading where I was supposed to go. One of my minor characters just kept getting in the way, but she got a stern talking-to and now I'm ready to forge ahead. Hoorah! Now I just need to catch up! It's going to be a long night.
And of course, the other reason I'm behind is because I was working on drawing instead of writing. So here to make up for my not doing any drawing for awhile...a full blown, multi-part comic! yay!

OMG IT'S NOVEMBER! When did this happen? Dang, October disappeared fast.
I have started on my novel for NaNoWriMo already. As soon as November started though, all my spelling ability (what there was of it) went right out the window. I puzzled for three minutes on how to spell "engagement". It was beyond ridiculous. And I'm still doing it. This will be an interesting month. HOORAH!
So I had my first stupid moment in November! I ran into a door. full speed. Yeah, I walking up from the basement, and all the lights were off upstairs, so I ran into the door, thinking it was just darkness. It wasn't. It was wood. It was hilariously funny. :D Watch them doors, they're tricky.
I bought a new book today! It's becoming an obsession, this book buying. I bought The Neverending Story even though I have like eight other books on my shelf I need to read. Oh well, I had a coupon.
Why am I already procrastinating writing?
So I saw HSM3 today. I will keep all my cynicism for the movie to myself and just say that Lucas Grabeel has magic feet (MAGIC I SAY!!)
Well, back to my story!

I had a bout of craziness today. Instead of reading the three books I own but have not read, I decided to walk down to the library and check some more out. It was kinda cold, but it was nice to get out of the house. I, of course, blame Amazon.com for the whole thing. If it wouldn't tempt me with books and 2 o'clock in the morning, I wouldn't feel the need to rush down to the library the next day to check them out. See? No fault of my own.
Also, sitting under you desk - not as much fun as it sounds.
Um, I still haven't drawn anything (recently) so instead I give you...Poorly Drawn Fox!

Yay! you know you love it! Right, moving on...
So I started reading Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom series today (I got Mister Monday from the library while i was having the fit of stupid). I also got on Endymion Spring. AND I'm still reading Inkdeath! Hoorah for having lots of books to read! (and here's hoping that i can finish them and all the others on my shelf by November!)

I don't actually have anything to say, but I hadn't put up a post in awhile, and I figured, hey what the heck! It's three in the morning and I have to be up in five hours! I feel like rambling like an idiot to the internet! ...the internet always listens to me.
My cat just bit me, but it was in love.
So i finally got a job (yay!). I start in November and have it for sure through Christmas. Then i'll see what life holds for me. Yeehaw for solid plans of the future!
I've been watching dumb animated princess movies for the past...bit of time. Seriously, i think i've seen like half the Disney Princess movies and a few non-Disney movies in the past two weeks. My life is getting sadder by the day. So, yeah, I saw Anastasia for the first time today (lol).
I'm sad because I don't have a stupid sketch to put up today. :( I'll have to make up for it some time.
So i'm getting excited that November is coming up. I'm got my idea for NaNoWriMo beginning to spin in my brain. So I suppose that's a good thing, eh?
Dang. I'd meant to finish the second Horatio Hornblower movie before tomorrow (and I didn't). Oops. Oh well!

As asked for by
badpuritan , a vampire pirate:
So...yeah. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 last night, because i've only seen it, like, once or twice. So me and my sister watched that. Then we watched Eragon because we felt like MOCKING something and that movie supplies so MUCH to MOCK. For instance, the plot, the acting, the costuming, the plot, the music score, the plot, the animation (for the dragon), did i mention the plot? Anyway, so we made fun of that and it was fun.
Heroes is on tonight! That excites me. I think me and my sister are going to watch Sweeney Todd tonight as well. *more excitement*
I am going stir crazy. I want to go do something, but there's noting around here to do. It makes me sad, and just a bit out of mind. Thus the major movie watch-age.
Gah, there are way too many spiders around my house. I have seen like three one-inch diameter ones outside and another one in my room! not cool.

So for like YEARS now i have been trying to figure out what happened to my family's copy of the computer game King's Quest 7. Somehow it came up in conversation with my sister, and she pretty much pulled a "oh, you mean this King's Quest 7?" YES THAT KING'S QUEST!!! so apparently she's had it with her in a DIFFERENT STATE for all that time i was looking for it. But i digress, so needless to say i immediately borrowed it from her, dropped everything, and played it two day's strait.
Dang, that game is so much fun. I need to get the other six, even though they are from the 80s and 90s. It is still made of win.
(In case you can't read it, the books on the shelf say "VAMPIRATES") I was in the bookstore the other day...and honestly, what day am i NOT in the bookstore...and I saw a series of books called "Vampirates". my only response was this: UM??? yeah...weird.
So...i kinda actually did this today. I was wearing one of those loose knit scarfs (hooRAH! it is finally cold enough to wear scarfs again!) and it got caught on my door. I'm pretty sure i did the whole comical jerk back and choke thing.
But perhaps the most important bit of new from today...
I bought INKDEATH!!! hoorah! I've only been waiting. like EIGHT MONTHS for it! (!!!)
Alright, i am done abusing the exclamation point. I am apparently also done this post. :)

So.
Here we are again.
The air is getting colder, and the days are getting shorter.
The leaves are just beginning to lose their summer luster.
The sky seems sadder, but the ocean looks happier. Perhaps it's because all the tourists have finally left the beach.
It seems as if the sky is more often overcast then it has been. That's why it seems sad, but somehow it makes everything feel better at the same time.
Fall means something different this year then it ever has before.
There is no shadow here. Not this year.

For a summer that started out so spectacularly, life has turned into a dull monotony. I played in the thunderstorm today just because it was different. Speaking of which, I am definitely not afraid of lighting or getting stuck by it. In fact, it was nice to be outside, soaked with rain, watching the sky flash and rumble around me. Kind of exhilarating, too. I might have danger issues. Ah well.
I couldn't fall asleep last night; as a result I only got 3 hours of sleep. I would think that after that and day that actually involved doing stuff I would be beat and able to fall asleep right away tonight. Such is not the case, obviously, since I'm writing this at a late hour. I have to many thoughts, and no one to tell them to. Ideas and opinions simply bounce around my head day and night, and there's no where for them to go, no way to get them off my mind...as a result I can't sleep. I can't stop thinking. I can't turn off my brain. It's utterly frustrating.
On a happier side of life, doing nothing at least allows me a lot of time to read. I'm almost halfway through Eclipse. I'll certainly be done by the time Breaking Dawn comes out. It's weird that I like the series, it's different then I usually read, but I do like it.
I need a job, but first I need to get my driver's license (16 days!) Hopefully when life has purpose again, I'll have less time to think about the utter nothing that is my future.
Later.
